Privacy Notice
The short version. This website collects nothing about you. There are no forms, no accounts, no logins, no checkout, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. We have deliberately switched off server request logging on this site. We only ever hold information that you choose to send us yourself — by email, WhatsApp, or phone — and we use it for one purpose: answering your enquiry and doing the work you ask for.
1. Who is responsible for your information

Because nothing is collected here, there is nothing on this site to consent to, and no cookie banner is required.
3. Information you send us yourself
When you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to write — typically your name, your email address or phone number, your company name, the country you are in, and the details of your enquiry, such as a supplier's name or address, a factory location, reference images, or a description of the product you are looking for.
Please do not send us special-category information (for example health, political or religious information) and do not send identity documents unless we specifically ask for them and you are content to share them.
If you use WhatsApp to reach us, your message is carried by WhatsApp under its own privacy terms. We do not control that, and we recommend you read WhatsApp's own notice. The same applies to your email provider.
4. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
5. Information about other people
If you give us details about your own supplier, staff or contacts, you are responsible for having the right to pass that information to us. We use it only to carry out the work you commissioned, and we hold it in confidence under clause 8 of our Terms of Service.
6. Do we use artificial intelligence?
Substantially all of the work you commission — visiting a site, taking photographs, filming, interviewing, judging what we saw and writing the report — is done by a person in China. We may use software tools for routine office tasks such as translation, filing, drafting and file organisation. We do not submit your information to automated systems for the purpose of making decisions about you, and no decision affecting you is made solely by a machine.
7. Who else may hold your information
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only in these limited situations:
- Service providers who host our website, email or file storage, and who process data on our instructions.
- Professional advisers such as accountants, if required.
- Authorities, where we are required by law to disclose.
- With your agreement, for example if we introduce you to a factory and you ask us to pass on your contact details.
Our website and email are hosted on servers located in Hong Kong. Depending on where you are, your information may therefore be transferred to and stored in Hong Kong and mainland China. Where GDPR applies, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.

9. Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us to:
- confirm what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete it, where we have no legal reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send it to you or another provider in a portable format.
Write to hello@factoryfinding.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK and you are not satisfied, you have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
10. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to our working files is restricted, and we use access controls on the systems that hold your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of information we hold to the minimum required to do the work — which is itself the strongest protection available.
11. Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be notified by email.
